Day 1 - Barcelona - Spain

The infinite variety of street life, the nooks and crannies of the medieval Barri Gòtic, the ceramic tile and stained glass of Art Nouveau facades, the art and music, the throb of street life, the food (ah, the food!)—one way or another, Barcelona will find a way to get your full attention. The capital of Catalonia is a banquet for the senses, with its beguiling mix of ancient and modern architecture, tempting cafés and markets, and sun-drenched Mediterranean beaches. A stroll along La Rambla and through waterfront Barceloneta, as well as a tour of Gaudí's majestic Sagrada Famíliaand his other unique creations, are part of a visit to Spain's second-largest city. Modern art museums and chic shops call for attention, too. Barcelona's vibe stays lively well into the night, when you can linger over regional wine and cuisine at buzzing tapas bars.

Day 2 - Marseille - France

Since being designated a European Capital of Culture for 2013, with an estimated €660 million of funding in the bargain, Marseille has been in the throes of an extraordinary transformation, with no fewer than five major new arts centers, a beautifully refurbished port, revitalized neighborhoods, and a slew of new shops and restaurants. Once the underdog, this time-burnished city is now welcoming an influx of weekend tourists who have colonized entire neighborhoods and transformed them into elegant pieds-à-terre (or should we say, mer). The second-largest city in France, Marseille is one of Europe's most vibrant destinations. Feisty and fond of broad gestures, it is also as complicated and as cosmopolitan now as it was when a band of Phoenician Greeks first sailed into the harbor that is today's Vieux Port in 600 BC. Legend has it that on that same day a local chieftain's daughter, Gyptis, needed to choose a husband, and her wandering eyes settled on the Greeks' handsome commander Protis. Her dowry brought land near the mouth of the Rhône, where the Greeks founded Massalia, the most important Continental shipping port in antiquity. The port flourished for some 500 years as a typical Greek city, enjoying the full flush of classical culture, its gods, its democratic political system, its sports and theater, and its naval prowess. Caesar changed all that, besieging the city in 49 BC and seizing most of its colonies. In 1214 Marseille was seized again, this time by Charles d'Anjou, and was later annexed to France by Henri IV in 1481, but it was not until Louis XIV took the throne that the biggest transformations of the port began; he pulled down the city walls in 1666 and expanded the port to the Rive Neuve (New Riverbank). The city was devastated by plague in 1720, losing more than half its population. By the time of the Revolution, Marseille was on the rebound once again, with industries of soap manufacturing and oil processing flourishing, encouraging a wave of immigration from Provence and Italy. With the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869, Marseille became the greatest boomtown in 19th-century Europe. With a large influx of immigrants from areas as exotic as Tangiers, the city quickly acquired the multicultural population it maintains to this day.

Day 3 - Cannes - France

Cannes is pampered with the luxurious year-round climate that has made it one of the most popular resorts in Europe. Cannes was an important sentinel site for the monks who established themselves on Île St-Honorat in the Middle Ages. Its bay served as nothing more than a fishing port until in 1834 an English aristocrat, Lord Brougham, fell in love with the site during an emergency stopover with a sick daughter. He had a home built here and returned every winter for a sun cure—a ritual quickly picked up by his peers. Between the popularity of Le Train Blue transporting wealthy passengers from Calais, and the introduction in 1936 of France's first paid holidays, Cannes became the destination, a tasteful and expensive breeding ground for the upper-upscale.Cannes has been further glamorized by the ongoing success of its annual film festival, as famous as Hollywood's Academy Awards. About the closest many of us will get to feeling like a film star is a stroll here along La Croisette, the iconic promenade that gracefully curves the wave-washed sand coastline, peppered with chic restaurants and prestigious private beaches. This is precisely the sort of place for which the French invented the verb flâner (to dawdle, saunter): strewn with palm trees and poseurs, its fancy boutiques and status-symbol grand hotels—including the Carlton, the legendary backdrop to Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief —all vying for the custom of the Louis Vuitton set. This legend is, to many, the heart and soul of the Côte d'Azur.

Day 4 - Palma de Mallorca - Spain

If you look north of the cathedral (La Seu, or the seat of the bishopric, to Mallorcans) on a map of the city of Palma, you can see around the Plaça Santa Eulàlia a jumble of tiny streets that made up the earliest settlement. Farther out, a ring of wide boulevards traces the fortifications built by the Moors to defend the larger city that emerged by the 12th century. The zigzags mark the bastions that jutted out at regular intervals. By the end of the 19th century, most of the walls had been demolished; the only place where you can still see the massive defenses is at Ses Voltes, along the seafront west of the cathedral.A torrent (streambed) used to run through the middle of the old city, dry for most of the year but often a raging flood in the rainy season. In the 17th century it was diverted to the east, along the moat that ran outside the city walls. Two of Palma's main arteries, La Rambla and the Passeig d'es Born, now follow the stream's natural course. The traditional evening paseo (promenade) takes place on the Born.If you come to Palma by car, park in the garage beneath the Parc de la Mar (the ramp is just off the highway from the airport, as you reach the cathedral) and stroll along the park. Beside it run the huge bastions guarding the Almudaina Palace; the cathedral, golden and massive, rises beyond. Where you exit the garage, there's a ceramic mural by the late Catalan artist and Mallorca resident Joan Miró, facing the cathedral across the pool that runs the length of the park.If you begin early enough, a walk along the ramparts at Ses Voltes from the mirador beside the cathedral is spectacular. The first rays of the sun turn the upper pinnacles of La Seu bright gold and then begin to work their way down the sandstone walls. From the Parc de la Mar, follow Avinguda Antoni Maura past the steps to the palace. Just below the Plaça de la Reina, where the Passeig d'es Born begins, turn left on Carrer de la Boteria into the Plaça de la Llotja (if the Llotja itself is open, don't miss a chance to visit—it's the Mediterranean's finest Gothic-style civic building). From there stroll through the Plaça Drassana to the Museu d'Es Baluard, at the end of Carrer Sant Pere. Retrace your steps to Avinguda Antoni Maura. Walk up the Passeig d'es Born to Plaça Joan Carles I, then right on Avenida de La Unió.

Hedonistic and historic, Eivissa (Ibiza, in Castilian) is a city jam-packed with cafés, nightspots, and trendy shops; looming over it are the massive stone walls of Dalt Vila —the medieval city declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999—and its Gothic cathedral. Squeezed between the north walls of the old city and the harbor is Sa Penya, a long labyrinth of stone-paved streets that offer some of the city's best offbeat shopping, snacking, and exploring. The tourist information office on Vara de Rey has a useful map of walks through the old city.

One of our most unique offerings onboard, Razzle Dazzle Restaurant is a veggie-forward eatery that delivers a healthy dose of nice with just the right amount of naughty. Sailors can choose from one side that skews towards plant-based vegetarian and vegan dishes including must have munchies such as the Impossible Burger, or the indulgent side – meaty cheats, sweets and gluttonous treats. The ice cream shop harkens back to that magical, summer nostalgia, just with a Virgin Voyages twist and some complimentary scoops. That includes six seasonal home (or ship) made flavors, like the vegan Green Machine or Gianduiotto Chocolate. A daily featured flavor will be announced from our nearby record shop DJ booth - it's guaranteed to be unlike anything you've had at your local ice cream shop.

An effortlessly elegant, yet cozy counterpart to the view-focused scene outside. Sailors raise the flag on their menu when they need service and relax whilst the roaming Mezze cart swings by to take their order. Choose from flame grilled skewers or house-made dips and dippers. The Dock feels like an elegant cabana caught between the chill, seaside perfection of Ibiza and the rustic-chic resorts of Brazil. The Dock delivers bright flavors through light Mediterranean-inspired bites. Sailors can relax, sunbathe and enjoy live acoustic music in this outdoor spot.

Okay, frankly we'd be wild to build a ship and not have a restaurant with a sun-drenched lounging area so you can combine all the things you love in one place (eating and views, obviously) so yep — we did that. The Dock feels like an elegant cabana caught between∘ the chill, seaside perfection of Ibiza and the rustic-chic resorts of Brazil.

Modeled after popular food halls where you can taste a variety of options - The Galley, designed by Softroom - is your go-to for a quick bite, meal or pick-me-up throughout the day. Featuring a mix of more than eight shops and food-truck style carts, each spot will have a unique concept with signature dishes that change to suit the time of day. The Galley (takes a deep breath before reading an impressively long list) boasts a dedicated bakery and pastry shop, a panini shop, a burger grill, a taco shack, a sushi bar with bento boxes, a noodle bar, a soup and salad stand, and a 24-hour American diner. And exhale.

It’s early. You’re still a bit blurry and coffee is the only thing you can focus on right now. Luckily our Coffee Shop isn’t far, exclusively pouring one of the most satisfying, and tasty brews we’ve ever had, from direct-trade pioneers, Intelligentsia Coffee. It’s like your favorite coffee shop∘ with the best almond milk, double shot, latte you’ve ever had just with ocean views.

Deeply rooted in Italian culinary traditions, the trattoria serves regionally-inspired food punctuated by our fresh, handmade pasta. Start with antipasti - this selection of cured meats and cheeses gets Sailors’ mouths watering for more. While everyone loves a good pizza, Extra Virgin focusses on pasta-centric favorites made fresh daily. Match with a great Italian wine and top it off with traditional aperitivos and digestivos to make their night complete...or help it get started.

The food and drink make the experience here where we’ve spun modern takes on fairground classics. But they don’t call it “Social” for nothing - inside you’ll find Sailors playing air hockey, shuffleboard and foosball. Pretzels, potato chips, popcorn, corndogs, hotdogs, cotton candy, candy apples, fudge, kettle corn, frozen bananas and churros are all on offer. Sailors can also grab an adult-by-design shake or float stacked with cookies, cake, frosting and candy.

No pre-cooked pizza slices sitting under warming lamps here. Sailors can choose from the classic menu or design their very own bespoke pizza. Featuring a brilliant beach club inspired design with white and pastel colored furniture, navy striped accent pillows and hammocks for lounging, this casual spot is a perfect lunch time destination or late-night, post drink, hunger buster go-to.

Inspired by one of the most iconic dishes of the Hawaiian islands, we offer marinated tuna, chicken and salmon over greens or rice bowls. Fresh, tasty and healthy, they’re high in lean protein and healthy fats while giving you a sunny dose of veggies or whole grains.

Our noodle offerings evolve from miso soup specials in the morning to tonkatsu ramen in the afternoon and evening.

Head to The Galley and start your day with a Japanese breakfast, or end if with a bento box. Or actually, have a bento box for lunch, too (because you can do that, here).

The Sweet Side of The Galley houses pastries in the morning (for the sweet-toothed breakfast lovers among us) and desserts later on. It's a non stop sweet fest, so leave your rude friends by the pool.

Well Bread has fans, and we call them "Bread Heads". So make a little bread head and grab a pastry for breakfast or a flatbread in the afternoon or evening down at The Galley.

Alluring Nightclub

This kick ass, two story, two bar space, named after Richard's first recording studio, is inspired by the coolest clubs on land layered with a moody and sexy 70’s punk vibe. The Manor will host a ground-breaking, immersive dining entertainment experience (coming soon), to kick the night off before it transitions into a mind-blowing, goodbye-early-morning-workout nightclub.

Live Performance Space

There’s a lot that’s special about The Red Room. It’s the first transformational theater at sea, featuring different modes which enable a variety of unique and engaging experiences.

Proscenium Mode: The most common theatre layout where Sailors won’t be more than 50 feet from the stage.

Alley Stage: Sailors face each other with the action separating them.

Flat Floor: With Sailors in the middle of the action with the show happening all around and direct access to a bar.

Private Karaoke

No late night outing is complete without some serious karaoke. Virgin Voyages have put their own spin on traditional cruise karaoke by designing Korean style Karaoke Rooms. Bold, vibrant spaces that encourage intense, high energy fun for our Sailors. With song choices that span decades and genres, these bookable private sessions require having their go-to tracks chosen, singing voice warm and invited friends ready for a private dance and song battle to remember. There are 3 private rooms for friends (or strangers) to reserve and enjoy together.

Sailors can get lost in sound at Voyage Vinyl, our record shop at sea. Stocked with music magazines, headphones and record players, Sailors can pull up to a listening station with a stack from the selection of both classic∘ and current albums including special and limited editions. It’s the analog experience at sea audiophile dreams are made of.

Arcade & Gaming Area

The Social Club is the perfect hangout spot for those young in spirit. The Social Club’s full retro arcade pays homage to the epic childhood video games of yesteryear – like Pacman, Mario Bros, Donkey Kong and other various vintage arcade games. Sailors can also play classic games like air hockey, bar-top shuffleboard, foosball and board games. Yup - you’ve guessed it’s all included. The Social Club is also home to The Social Club Diner where Sailors can grab classic carnival bites, and The Loose Cannon, our nautically themed cozy seaside drinkery. Inner children are permitted to run wild here.

Gaming & Lounge

Inspired by the sleek and futuristic elements of James Bond and 70’s-glam technicolor, the Casino has something for everyone. There are different zones of experiences for Sailors to indulge in: Tournament, Ocean, Adventure and Asian. Each zone offers games that fit with the theme, from traditional slot machines to table games like Blackjack, Craps and Roulette. But, if they’re not a gambler, they can grab a drink at the Casino Bar and let our dealers teach them how to play during port days so they have the confidence to play when we’re off in international waters.

Outside at The Dock Bar, we offer the same libation list as inside at The Dock House Bar, where the star of the show is our premium rosé program. But that's not all - we have a selection of sparkly cocktails and spritzers to cool you off if the incoming sea breeze isn't enough. So re-think your siesta and move the ZZZs from your cabin to our shady (or sun-facing) lounges.

Chill, casual but discerning beer connoisseur approved.

Our mixology bar on board focuses on aged spirits poured over ice (hence the name), and is the perfect place to make bold choices...with a twist. Or really shake it up and challenge our mixologists to make you something extra special. Kick-start the evening or round out the night with a cocktail that's perfectly crafted for you.

Inspired by seaside bars in Brighton, UK, an opening gun salute signals the singing of an old sea shanty which can be heard far and wide. This salty sea dog, nautically-themed bar boasts live music and animated processions with equally spirited bar keeps - ready to ignite a hearty chant at a moment's notice.

Our greatest aim is for sailors to have the best time on board while indulging… minus all the guilt. So to do that, we’ve embedded sustainability deeply into both our operations and the sailor experience itself. Through pioneering innovative and sustainable technologies, banning unnecessary single-use plastics, and thoughtfully sourcing food and retail merchandise — we’re creating a sailor experience that balances the duality of enjoying the earth and caring for it.

Accessible Cabins

We have a limited number of cabins available for Sailors with special needs or reduced mobility. Please book early and specify all of your required accommodations to our Sailor Services Crew, your travel agent or in your online booking.

Wheel-Chair Accessible Cabins

We have a limited number of cabins that can accommodate wheel chairs. Please bring your own preferred wheelchair, if needed, and be sure to book early to guarantee the cabin of your choice. Collapsible wheelchairs are strongly encouraged.

Drinks Packages

What's a holiday without a few choice cocktails? Your sailing includes our essential drinks and, while we don't have traditional packages, our drink offerings are very reasonably priced. If you're looking to set aside some loot for premium beverages, Sailors can also purchase our Bar Tab before setting sail.

Essential drinks consist of filtered still and sparkling water, non-pressed juices, sodas, sachet teas and drip coffee.

Smoking

Smoking will only be permitted in a designated smoking room and on the top deck outdoor area. Smoking is not allowed on any cabin terraces.

Smoking of any kind outside of designated areas (even with a "vape" device) will result in a $1000 fee, is a material breach of your ticket contract, and may result in you being disembarked at the next port with no refund. Any repatriating fees will be charged to your onboard account.

Dietary Requirements

Our expansive food and beverage offerings should be able to accommodate most dietary needs and requests, but be sure to ask our Sailor Services Crew before you sail regarding any specific requests or allergy concerns. Please note, we are NOT an allergen-free kitchen.

Age Restrictions

The minimum age to book is 21 years old unless a Sailor meets one of our “under 21 adult” criteria which are:

1) Sailors are legally married (should be prepared to provide proof at boarding).

2) Sailors are active military (Sailors should be prepared to provide proof at boarding).

Every Virgin Voyages sailing is an experience crafted exclusively for Sailors 18 years of age and older. Two Sailors above the age of 18 and under the age of 21 may travel together unaccompanied in the same cabin if their ship departs from a port outside of the United States or if they meet the "under 21 adult" requirements.

Service Animals

Service animals are permitted on board. Please be mindful of the number of furry friends you take on your voyage as there is a limited total number allowed per sailing and we must accommodate for all Sailors.

Service animals are dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability (e.g., guide dogs, hearing-ear dogs, psychiatric service dogs). The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability. Individuals with disabilities will generally be permitted to access all the ship’s public spaces accompanied by their service animal.

While we will make every effort to accommodate miniature horses as service animals, we ask the guest requiring the use of a miniature horse as a service animal to contact Sailor Services as soon as possible to assess the miniature horse’s characteristics as a service animal.

We’re sorry, but emotional support animals are not service animals. Emotional support animals will not be allowed on board.

Medical Facilities

We are equipped with a licensed physician and nurses at all times while sailing.

Our mini bars and in-room bars in our Suites will have ample room for storage for medication that needs to be refrigerated. If you find yourself in need of extra space, please contact Sailor Services, and they will accommodate your request as best they can.

Wi-Fi

Unlimited WiFi browsing is included for all Sailors. So there's no charge for social media, email, web browsing or messaging. An upgraded premium entertainment package will also be available for just a bit extra with the fastest speeds to support streaming.

Dress Code

We always want all of our Sailors to feel comfortable. We encourage you to wear more than a bathing suit if you go to a restaurant∘ and kindly consider shoes, but your style is your style. Who are we to judge?

Dress Up. Dress Down. Just Dress.

At Virgin Voyages we’re all about Sailors feeling free to express who they are and we know personal style is a huge part of that. Prescribing formal attire requirements just isn’t our style.

We put a lot of trust in our Sailors to have some basic respect for each other, and to not show up to a full service restaurant in only pasties and earrings, a dripping wet bathing suit, a pair of sandy flip-flops or a fully mesh jumpsuit.

We know, you know, that wearing shirts, pants and footwear is just the gracious way to dress in places where food is served. It also can’t hurt to glam up, which is encouraged, in all eateries, especially our gorgeous full service restaurants like the Test Kitchen or The Wake.

Your casual threads are probably nice enough to pass for dinner in any eatery, so come as you are, just not as you “were” when you got out of the shower please. Basically, please wear clothes in our eateries. Cheers!

Pregnancy

Although we're excited you've decided to book, you must be less than 24 weeks pregnant by the end of the sailing. Please make sure to bring all appropriate medical documentation to confirm this timing when you arrive.

TDD Kits

We have a limited number of TDD kits available to accommodate those with hearing loss. Please contact our Sailor Services Crew for specific requests and accommodations.

Laundry

While we don't have a self-service launderette on board, we do offer full laundry service where we can handle everything for you. You'll find a laundry slip in your cabin with instructions on what to do, or feel free to reach out to us on the app with any questions.

Wheelchairs

Sailors requiring regular use of a wheelchair/scooter should bring their own or rent from one of our vendors. However, wheelchairs may be available for emergency use at the terminal for embarkation.
